Our Story

Casa Ipanema, a vibrant dining destination inspired by the energy and elegance of Rio de Janeiro, is located in Downtown LA, on the corner of the iconic Biltmore Hotel. Created by restaurateurs Henrique and Herica Huyer, owners of H&H Group, and helmed by Chef Arturo Flores, Casa Ipanema offers a unique Fusion: Contemporary Brazilian Latin Cuisine.

Our menu showcases tropical dishes that celebrate the creative and fresh essence of Latin America. Highlights include the signature Casa Branzino alongside premium cuts like the Tomahawk and Wagyu, Four Cheese Filet, Passion Fruit Salmon, and Shrimp A La Casserole in a creamy coconut sauce paired with tropical fruits that evoke the real taste of Latin America.

Henrique & Herica Huyer

Henrique and Herica Huyer are the visionaries behind Casa Ipanema, with over a decade of experience in the restaurant industry and as the founders of H&H Group. Together, they have built a legacy of excellence, leading the success of H&H Brazilian Steakhouse and now expanding their vision with Casa Ipanema. Combining their passion for gastronomy with Brazil’s vibrant culture, they created an immersive dining experience where bold flavors meet the best of Brazilian electronic music and tropical beach vibes. Dedicated to culinary innovation, they are committed to delivery exceptional dining experiences with excellence in every dish and moment.

Chef Arturo Flores

With boundless energy and unmatched creativity, Chef Arturo Flores brings his signature touch to Casa Ipanema. Currently, the chef at H&H Brazilian Steakhouse and a proud Los Angeles native, Chef Arturo honed his craft during his years at Toca Madera, where he mastered the art of blending Brazilian Latin and local flavors with finesse and innovation.

In collaboration with Henrique and Herica Huyer, channels his passion and expertise into Casa Ipanema, curating a bold fusion of Contemporary Brazilian and Latin Cuisine. Each dish is meticulously crafted to celebrate tropical ingredients, modern techniques, and the vibrant spirit of Latin America.
